Ryan Darke has been appointed to the second trumpet position with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for the 2011-2012 season. Mr. Darke graduated from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University with a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance in 2010 where he studied with Marie Speziale. This past year he has been a student at The Colburn School where he studied with Jim Wilt. He holds his undergraduate degree from California State University of Long Beach. Darke has performed with Schlesswig Holstein for the past two summers and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
