The Jeju International Trumpet Competition was held on Jeju Island, South Korea from August 13-18, 2010. The repertoire for the first round included the Concerto for Trumpet (2006) by Woo Jong-yeok, and the competitor's choice of either Honegger's Intrada or Enesco's Légende. Second round repertoire included the Concerto by Fasch, and the competitor's choice of Vizzuti's "Cascades" or Plog's Post Cards. The final round was Incantation, Thrène et Danse by Desenclos, performed with the Jeju Symphony Orchestra.
The judges were Yeh Shu-Han (Taiwan), Bruce Barrie (USA), Lee Kang-il (Korea), Shim Hang-taik (Korea), Eric Aubier (France), John Charles Thomas (USA), and jury foreman Max Sommerhalder (German).
First prize was awarded to Miroslav Petkov (Bulgaria). Second prize went to Huw Morgan (UK), and third prize went to Katie Miller (USA).
