Industry News: Blessing unveils new BTR-1460 intermediate trumpet 21 May 2010

Elkhart, Indiana - E. K. Blessing, a subsidiary of Verne Q. Powell Flutes, announces its new BTR-1460 Intermediate trumpet. The 1460 Blessing Intermediate Trumpet features the all new #24 bell flare and heavier valve system designed to help advancing students and players move into a more professional style instrument. The instrument features Monel pistons as well as hand-lapped 1st and 3rd valve slides.

MAP prices range from $900 to $1,068 As with all Blessing instruments, the BTR-1460 is completely made at the Blessing factory in Elkhart, Indiana by some of the most experienced and talented brass instrument makers in the world. The BTR-1460 features the following specifications:

  • .460" bore
  • Newly designed #24, 2-piece bell
  • Hand-lapped Monel pistons
  • Thumb Saddle
  • Adjustable 3rd slide finger ring
  • 3rd slide stop
  • Nickel mouthpiece receiver
  • Nickel outside main tuning slide tubing
  • Traditional lever-style waterkeys
  • Rose brass leadpipe
  • 7C mouthpiece
  • Available in a variety of finishes (lacquer, silver plate or silver plate with gold trim)
  • Optional hard shell carry case or new backpack style case
