Tom Siders, recently won the Assistant Principal Trumpet position with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Siders holds his Master of Music degree in trumpet performance (May 2009) from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where he studied with Marie Speziale. A native of Champaign, Illinois, Tom completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas where he studied with Ray Sasaki. Before winning the position with the BSO, he won a fellowship with the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida. He has recently performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony Orchestra, Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Symphony and the New World Symphony. In May, Tom was a featured soloist at one of The 2009 Conservatory Project performances at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
