Thomas Hooten, principal trumpet of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, presented a recital and masterclass at UTC on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Hooten performed Intrada by Honegger, Piece en Forme de Habanera by Ravel, and Sonata by Stevens. He was accompanied by Jenny Parker. Following the recital, he presented a masterclass where he heard and coached individual students, answered questions, and talked about the "truths" of trumpet playing.
