Elkhart, Indiana - January 2010 - E. K. Blessing, a subsidiary of Verne Q. Powell Flutes, unveiled its newly upgraded BTR-1260 and BTR-1270 trumpets at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California.

Under the leadership of General Manager, Steve Rorie, a new direction was taken in the re-design of the Blessing student trumpets. The previous Blessing bell was replaced with a classic bell called the M Bell (Medium) shape. This 4 7/8" model has up to now been reserved for much more expensive instruments but, according to Blessing, provides balance of resistance, ease and richness of tone and even scale. In addition, the lead pipe and tuning slide were redesigned to aid in intonation, slotting and centering.

With these new upgrades, Blessing now offers some of the color and response of a professional horn at a student price. These upgraded instruments are currently shipping to Blessing dealers worldwide.
