Jeffrey Strong

In February 2009, Jeffrey Strong won a position in the trumpet/cornet section of the "President's Own" US Marine Band. As a Marine Band musician, Strong performs with the Marine Band, Marine Chamber Orchestra, and Marine Chamber Ensembles at the White House, in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour.

Strong holds a Bachelor's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory and a Master's degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota. His principal teachers include San Francisco Conservatory Professor David Burkhart, Northwestern Professors Barbara Butler and Charles Geyer, and the Chicago Symphony's Principal Trumpeter Chris Martin.
