ITG News Co-Editor Amanda Pepping has signed on as an artist/clinician for Sonaré trumpets. As a recognized Sonaré artist, she is able to provide public clinics through Sonaré Winds dealers.
Pepping enjoys her place in the music world as a performer, educator, arranger, and writer. She has given recitals and solo appearances throughout the United States and Europe. In the US, she has performed with groups including the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Arizona Opera. As a soloist she has been featured with numerous ensembles, both in the US and abroad. Her CD Amanda is available through Summit Records.
Pepping holds her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Arizona State University and was a 2005-6 Fulbright Fellow in Karlsruhe, Germany. Her teachers include Ray Sasaki, Dr. Edward Tarr, David Hickman, Emory Harvison, Douglas Carlsen, and Robert Dorer. She is teaching at Texas State University for the spring 2009 semester while she works on her doctorate at the University of Texas with Ray Sasaki.
