On May 24th, 2008 Los Angeles based freelance trumpeter Chris Tedesco was the featured cornet soloist in concert with the Pierce College Los Angeles Winds directed by Steve Piazza. The 80-plus group is a world renowned wind ensemble comprised of amateurs, college students and pro players from the Los Angeles area. The theme of the concert was "the Journey Beyond." Chris performed two pieces (selected by conductor Piazza): Edwin Franko Goldman's "Jupiter" and Herbert L. Clarke's "Stars in the Velvety Sky".
