Rolf Smedvig makes a point during his masterclass

Conn-Selmer have sent us an interesting press release: Rolf Smedvig,  Bach Trumpet Artist with Empire Brass, held a concert and masterclass in Seoul, Korea at the invitation of the local Bach distributor Cosmos Corporation in February 2008. More than one hundred students and teachers showed up on a cold afternoon to hear the concert and learn trumpet technique from Mr. Smedvig.

The event was held in the newly-opened Cosmos Hall which is the headquarters of Cosmos Corporation; five students were invited to take lessons from Rolf while the remaining participants were able to watch. A representative from Cosmos said that it was the best masterclass they had ever sponsored, and all the students and teachers learned a variety of trumpet skills and practice methods.
