Don Novy, owner/inventor of AAIIRR Power AcoustiCoils, has announced that on February 26th he was awarded US Patent No. 7,355,832, “Web configuration in acoustic impedance-inducing device”. This marks Don Novy’s third US Patent. Based in Denver, Colorado, Novy is a trumpeter and retired music educator who is also the inventor and manufacturer of the AcoustiCoil; a “power-enhancing instrumental insert to the bore that up-grades performance characteristics of 21 types of brass/wind musical instruments”.
Novy adds: “Now substantially improved by these recently patented changes, the AcoustiCoil's new design makes it even more effective in its ability to improve focus, resonance, range, intonation and response in instruments … playing characteristics sought-after by brass/wind-players world-wide. The new US Patent also extends protection for AcoustiCoils within the music industry as a unique, continually improving instrumental accessory for another 17 years.”
