Arkansas State University held its first annual “Brass Fest” on September 24, 2022. This event invited brass players of all ages including around 100 area high schoolers to congregate to the A-State campus for a day of warmups, classes, and exhibits, and performances.
Gerassimos Ioannidis at the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina

Greek trumpeter Gerassimos Ioannidis was a guest artist from October 22–23 at the Municipal Conservatory Ioannina in northwest Greece. Ioannidis was a member of the Municipal Band of Athens (1971–1985) and Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra (1975–1993). From 1985–2007 he was member of the National Opera of Athens.

Founding director, professor at the Canary Islands Superior Conservatory of Music, and active trumpeter on the Spanish and European scene Dr. Sebastián Gil organized the fifteenth edition of the Maspalomas International Trumpet Festival which took place July 18 - 24, 2022.
