an exciting performing opportunity for many conference attendees. Amateurs, professionals, university teachers and students combined for readings of a variety of music supplied by Sheet Music Service of Portland. Repertoire performed included Bugler's Holiday for 12 trumpets, arranged by David Hickman, Suite for Five Trumpets by Ronald LoPresti, Symphony from Act IV: The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell, arranged by Jim Olcott, and many other arrangements for trumpet ensemble. Enthusiasm was high, and requests were made for many more of these at future conferences. |
