Clyde Hughes is currently in his 27th year as the Director of Bands at Hermitage High School in Henrico County, Virginia. His band program recently won its 13th Virginia Honor Band award from the VA Band and Orchestra Director's Association. The Hermitage Marching Panthers have also appeared in the Tournament of Roses parade, and have received superior ratings at numerous concert and marching band festivals. Mr. Hughes received his BA in Music Education at the University of Richmond, and his MA in conducting from George Mason University. (Thurs., May 20, 7:30 p.m.)
