Dr. Terry Austin is Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music at Virginia Commonwealth University where he oversees all aspects of the band program and teaches courses in conducting and music education. He is an active guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, and is published in several journals including the CBDNA (College Band Directors National Association) Journal, BD Guide, Young BD Guide, and the Instrumentalist. Dr. Austin is presently chairman of the score selection panel for the National Band Association/William D. Revelli Memorial Band Composition Contest. He is listed twice in Whos Who Among Americas Teachers, is a multiple recipient of the National Band Association Citation of Excellence, and is an elected member of the prestigious American Bandmasters Association.
