What should you expect from your pianist? What should your pianist expect from you? These questions, along with many others, will be answered in todays session on Rehearsing and Performing with a Pianist. Issues dealing with communication, preparation, and rehearsal techniques will be addressed and demonstrations with high school and/or college students will be performed. Included in these demonstrations will be the use of the computer program Smart Music, which can be used as a preparation device for rehearsing with a pianist. (Fri., May 21, 1 p.m.) |
