The 2008 ITG Conference Reporting Team
Michael Anderson is associate professor of trumpet at the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University. Anderson is the administrator of the ITG Web Site and column editor for the Trumpet Technology column for the ITG Journal.
Julianne Boren is the cellist of the Orenunn Trio, a studio cello teacher, member of the Minot Symphony Orchestra, and the Northern Lights String Quartet. She currently resides in Minot, North Dakota with her trumpeter husband Mark Boren.
Mark Boren is in his first year as Co-News Editor for the International Trumpet Guild. He is Coordinator of Brass Studies and professor of high brass at Minot State University.
Louie Eckhardt is the Director of Bands at Grand Island Senior High School (Grand Island, NE), and is in frequent demand as a performer and clinician throughout Nebraska. His degrees are from Hastings College and Penn State University.
Kevin Eisensmith is the Vice President/President elect of the International Trumpet Guild. He is professor of trumpet and assistant chair of the Department of Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
John Irish is associate professor of music at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas where he teaches the high brass studio. He is principal trumpet of the San Angelo Symphony and co-founder of Jazz Concho, a jazz sextet composed of local professionals.
Elisa Koehler served as ITG Recording Reviews Editor between 2002-2005 and has been a conference reporter since 2004. She is an assistant professor of music at Goucher College as well as the Music Director and Conductor of the Frederick Symphony Orchestra.
Gary Mortenson is in this eighth year as publications editor for the International Trumpet Guild. He is professor of trumpet and Head of the Department of Music at Kansas State University.
Vera H. Olcott has served as ITG Conference Photographer annually since 2001. She is also the ITG Membership Coordinator for Europe and a Board member. Digital images were shot with her new Olympus Camedia E-3 and two different SWD lenses.
Tim Swensen is a Staff Design Engineer with Lattice Semiconductors in San Jose, California specializing in memory design for integrated circuits and logic devices. He is an active church musician and is section leader of trumpets with the Foothill Symphonic Winds.
Lottie Young was last at an ITG conference as a Youth Reporter in 2002. She has recently completed an undergraduate degree in Music at Cardiff University and hopes to pursue a postgraduate course in teacher training at the University of Cambridge in September.
Neville Young was ITGs News Editor for five years. He is an amateur trumpet player in London and works as a computer person in a medical college. Mr. Young serves as a member of ITGs Board of Directors
