Texas Christian University will be the site for the 28th Annual International Trumpet Guild Conference. The 2003 ITG Conference will encompass four days of concerts, recitals, lectures, competitions and master classes by the worlds foremost classical
and jazz trumpet performers and educators. An extensive exhibit of instruments, mouthpieces, accessories, sheet music and recordings will be on display throughout the four days.

ITG Youth Day is being introduced to offer a special day for trumpeters 18 years of age and under. Make plans to see and hear from the worlds top trumpet performers and educators as they relate directly to you, the talent of tomorrow.

- Allen Vizzutti: virtuoso classical and jazz trumpet performer. His continued commitment to education and the value of music in everyday life results each year in an extensive schedule of guest appearances around the world. Allen Vizzutti will give a master class and perform an evening recital with the TCU Wind Ensemble and TCU Jazz Ensemble.
- The United States Army Brass Quintet has performed for a wide variety of audiences and dignitaries in 39 states and 12 foreign countries since its inception in 1972. The quintet is an element of The U.S. Army Band (Pershings Own) in Washington, D.C.
- Jon Lewis is one of the top recording Studio Artists in the Los Angeles area. He has performed on the 2002 Academy Awards Show and played on many television shows (JAG and Star Trek shows), over 300 motion picture scores (including Men In Black and Men in Black II, Spiderman, The Patriot and Red Dragon to name a few) and plays regularly in area orchestras throughout the LA area.
- Chase Sanborn: Chase is active in the recording studios and jazz clubs around Toronto. He has written two popular books, Brass Tactics and Jazz Tactics. His master class, Why is a dominant seventh chord like a cheeseburger?, based on his best-selling book, will make jazz improvisation fun and comprehensible.
- Kris Chesky, PhD., Director of Education and Research at the Texas Center for Music & Medicine. Dr. Chesky will discuss health factors associated with trumpet playing such as mouthpiece forces, intraoral pressures, performance anxiety and stress, and sound exposure.

Dormitory Information
Texas Christian University Dorms. Single room - $35.00 per night; double occupancy rooms are $25 per night. Rooms are air conditioned and furnished with pillows, sheets, and towels. Meal cards for campus meals can be purchased for $65.00 (meals start with breakfast on Wednesday morning May 21st and end with lunch on May 24th).
*Dorm room and meal tickets must be paid for by May 1, 2003, to secure reservation. Dorm room reservations or meal cards cannot be secured after this date.

The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is located just 25 miles from TCU. Access to campus is easily available by shuttle, bus service, taxicab, and car rental services at the terminal.
