The Extension Ensemble has quickly established itself as a
promising and fresh force in New York’s chamber music scene
performing a wide variety of contemporary and early music. The
members of the ensemble have received fellowships for the 2000
Aspen Music Festival making the Extension Ensemble the first
fellowship brass quintet in the festival’s history. Last year they
won first place awards in both the Fischoff and Chamber Music
Monterey Bay International chamber music competition. They
recently performed as the featured guest ensemble with the
American Brass Quintet for their recital in the Juilliard Theater in New York City. The Extension
Ensemble is in its second year as a graduate level chamber group at the Juilliard School.
