A Message from the ITG President

As President of the International Trumpet Guild, I would like to welcome you to the official ITG Youth Site! The Officers and Board of Directors are pleased to be able to provide trumpet students of all ages and levels of ability information on Summer camps and youth competitions, reviews of trumpet solos, master classes with outstanding trumpet players and teachers, and even the opportunity to “Ask the Teacher” those things about the trumpet that you have always wanted to know but didn’t know who to ask!

Be sure that you also visit the ITG home page to learn more about the International Trumpet Guild. With over 6,000 members, ITG is the largest organization in the world dedicated to the trumpet and “was founded in 1974 to promote communications among trumpet players around the world and to improve the artistic level of performance, teaching, and literature associated with the trumpet.” At our website you will find links to news in the trumpet world, information about other services that ITG offers, and a site where you can go to download free music pdfs and other trumpet-related information. Whether you plan to pursue a career in music as a teacher and/or performer, or you play just for the sheer enjoyment, you will be able to find information that will help you improve your trumpet playing

I hope you will take advantage of all ITG has to offer on this site, and I hope you will become a member of the Guild, attend an ITG conference or other ITG sponsored event, where you will be able to meet many of the artists you have read about and heard on recordings. All of these individuals are real people, and will be happy to speak with you to share ideas and answer questions
