If you have an event you'd like placed on this page, please contact the editor, Bradley Ulrich at pr@trumpetguild.org ITG Conference Scholarship Auditions ITG Youth Competition Students are invited to participate in the competitions which will take place at the 2009 ITG Conference to be held May 26 - may 30, 2009, hosted by Messiah College and held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Depending on the number of entrants, there may be a preliminary round prior to the finals which would also will be held during the course of the confernece. Candidates will be provided with written comments from a distinquished panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded. Contestents must be under 18 years of age on February 15, 2009. P. BRADLEY ULRICH, Professor of Music, has been the Trumpet Professor at Western Carolina University since 1989. Dr. Ulrich Maintaining an active performing career, Dr. Ulrich is currently Principal Trumpet with the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra and Second Trumpet with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. He frequently performs with both the Greenville (SC) Symphony Orchestra and the Brevard Chamber Orchestra. He has formerly held positions in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra (IL), the Champaign-Urbana Symphony (IL), Sinfonia da Camera (IL), the Cedar Falls Waterloo Symphony (IA), and the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his orchestral experience he has performed numerous recitals in the region, performed with the Smoky Mountain Brass Band, the areas finest brass quintets, and has also been a featured soloist with the Brevard Chamber Orchestra. Dr. Ulrich has published a dozen articles in the International Trumpet Guild’s Journal. Since 1999 he has been the Public Relations Director for ITG. He is an Artist/Clinician and member of the Product Advisory Council for the Jupiter Band Instrument Company. |
